La Bella Donna, 643 Wynnum Road, Morningside
Pre-loved designer stuff and amazing vintage clothes. If you’re after a wedding dress from 1910 or a 1950s chiffon frock, this is your place.
Tiger Rag, Shop 2/702 Ann St, Fortitude Valley
Tiger Rag is a little different. It’s retro-inspired clothing and accessories for guys and dolls – so not genuine retro but who cares when you can grab the cutest pair of polka dot ballet flats for $49? Sailor pants, cats eye sunglasses, bowling shoes … all fabulous. Prepare to shop big.
Brisbane Vintage Fashion Fair, West End
If you are a vintage fashion aficionado then you absolutely won’t want to miss the Brisbane Vintage Fashion Fair. It’s held twice a year and sells genuine treasures from the Edwardian, Victorian and Jazz Age eras as well as smoking hot frocks and trinkets from the fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties. Some tips: many of the stall owners only take cash, so load up before you go, and give yourself a few hours to look around.
